‘Summer’ appears in ‘fourW thirty-five: new writing’

Mark Roberts reading at the Sydney launch of fourW thirty-five: new writing.

I was excited and honoured to be asked to read my poem ‘Summer’ at the Sydney launch of fourW thirty-five: new writing on Sunday 6 September this year. fourW is one of Australia’s longest running annual anthologies of new poetry and prose from Australian and international writers and, in my opinion, one of the best with a diverse mix of writers and genres. It is based is based out of the Booranga Writers’ Centre at Charles Stuart University on Wiradjuri land.

Given the number and quality of other work in this years’ anthology it was also exciting for ‘Summer’ to have been short listed for the 2026 Booranga Poetry Prize.

Copies of fourW thirty-five: new writing can be ordered by emailing president@booranga.com
